■ "Aero is everything" - Specialized has been advocating this phrase for years, and it is the driving force behind the development of the new Tarmac. In our quest for the fastest UCI-compliant frame shape, we followed the Venge development process and used the FreeFoil Shape Library. We brought the ideal shape that the supercomputer came up with to our own wind tunnel, Win Tunnel, and built it into a modular test bike for testing and confirmation. The result is the fastest Tarmac we've tested to date, 45 seconds faster over a 40km distance than the SL6 (using the Aerofly II handlebar, sold separately). No compromises, just a fast bike.

Aero performance has been a primary focus in the development of not only the Tarmac, but all of Specialized's race bikes, but weight is also essential to the best race bikes. Until now, exercise bikes have always sacrificed lightness to reduce air resistance. In developing the new Tarmac, our goal was to meet or exceed the UCI weight limit out of the box without sacrificing aero performance. With the help of the FreeFoil Shape Library, finite element analysis and some of the best engineering in the industry, we've come up with a frame that weighs just 800 grams without sacrificing aero performance, stiffness or ride quality.

In our quest to create the perfect race bike, we've taken Rider-First Engineered™ to make the new Tarmac the most balanced and best-handling bike of all sizes. We worked with some of the world's best athletes from the three WorldTour teams - Boels-Dolmans, Dukuninck-Quickstep and Bora-Hansgrohe - to refine the Tarmac based on their incredible mileage and experience. . We've optimized the balance between front and rear end ride quality for comfort during long days in the saddle. And all of the Tarmac's renowned handling and race-winning agility have not been compromised.

Leveraging the experience gained in the development of the Venge, the new Tarmac's cockpit has a simple unity, clean and fast, yet highly adjustable. Air resistance is suppressed while enabling all setups such as mechanical shifting, existing stems, and round hangers. These characteristics make the new Tarmac more maintainable and easier to assemble and disassemble for expeditions. The birth of a fast and easy-to-use cockpit.

■Stain Carbon/Jet Fuel can be used as is. Please note that the logo sticker is affixed over a clear coat, which can be easily removed if custom painting is desired. In addition, another set of stickers is included with the frame set, so you can reapply them after painting. However, please note that any alterations to your Tarmac's paint or graphics will void the paint warranty offered by Specialized on them. Any paint defects or damage caused by custom paint should be discussed with the painter.
