■ "Aero is everything-"-Specialized has been chanting this word for many years, and it's also the driving force behind the development of the new Tarmac. In pursuit of the fastest frame shape in compliance with UCI regulations, we used the FreeFoil Shape Library as a model for Venge's development process. We brought the ideal shape of the supercomputer into the Win Tunnel of our wind tunnel facility and incorporated it into a modular test bike for testing and verification. As a result, the new Tarmac Expert is 33 seconds faster than the SL6 at a distance of 40km. It's a fast bike with no compromises.
■ Aero performance was the most important factor in the development of all specialized race bikes, not just Tarmac, but weight is also essential for the best race bikes. In the past, exercise bikes have always been sacrificed for lightness as the air resistance is reduced. The development of the new Tarmac aimed to be at or below the UCI weight limit out of the box without sacrificing aero performance. With the help of FreeFoil Shape Library, finite element analysis and the technology of the industry's best group of engineers, we have completed a frame of only 920 grams without sacrificing aero performance, rigidity and ride quality.
■ While aiming to develop a perfect race bike, we adopted Rider-First Engineered ™ and made the new Tarmac the most balanced and the best handling in all sizes. With the help of the world's best athletes from the three world tour teams Boels-Dolmans, Dukunink Quickstep and Bora-Hansgrohe, we have made improvements to Tarmac based on their superhuman mileage and experience. .. It optimizes the balance of ride quality between the front and rear ends, making it comfortable for long hours on the saddle. What's more, Tarmac's well-established handling and the lightness of winning the race are not impaired at all.
■ Utilizing the experience cultivated in the development of Venge, the cockpit of the new Tarmac has a simple sense of unity, it is clean and contributes to speed, but it is also excellent in adjustability. It enables all kinds of setups such as mechanical shifting, existing stems, round hans, etc., while suppressing air resistance. Due to these characteristics, the new Tarmac has improved maintainability and is easier to assemble and disassemble during an expedition. The birth of a fast and easy-to-use cockpit.
