At the core of these tires, a 3-ply TLR casing (with 60TPI per ply) with an optimized overlap between the plies results in a tire that exhibits outstanding handling characteristics, has excellent puncture resistance, and with decreased rolling resistance compared to previous Pathfinder tires. Not to be outdone, wrapped around this casing is a unique dual density tread compound; a firm Gripton T2 compound is used down the middle of the tire to offer great wear resistance and maximum straight-line velocity, while the shoulders of these tires utilize a softer, tackier Gription T5 compound to make it easier than ever to maintain high speeds through corners. A slight tweak to the tread design pairs a unified central rib with a revised, low profile knob design which further improves the ride quality and provides a seamless transition from the center to the shoulder knobs when entering and exiting corners. The result of all of this innovation is a comfortable, durable, and lightweight tire that provides everything needed to get down the hardpacked trails faster than ever before.
