Wheelset Vision SC55

This low-cost carbon wheel set is ready for the current generation of racing bikes and cyclocrossers with disc brakes. The FSA Vision Tech SC 55 Disc wheelset uses the same CFD optimized and wind tunnel tested technology as the Metron SL. The Vision SC 55 carbon wheelset is available in both rim and disc brake configurations, is tubeless compatible and has a very unique rim braking surface. In addition, the SC 55 features redesigned P.R.A. aluminum hubs with 6-hole disc mounts and easy-running and durable tapered bead seat bearings. Handcrafted with attention to detail!

Details of the Vision SC 55 Disc Carbon wheelset

The SC 55 Disc Carbon is equipped with 21 spokes at the front wheel and 24 Aero Blade spokes at the rear wheel in 2:1 spoking in order to optimally withstand the increased deceleration forces caused by disc brakes. The tension of the rear spokes is thus strongly balanced, which leads to an improved longevity. However, if the rider weighs more than 90 kg, it is recommended to check the wheels and their components regularly and to have the bike inspected more frequently than normal.

The freewheel hub is made of a soft and light alloy – therefore it is not possible to use cassettes with single large teeth that are not on a carrier. An XDR freewheel hub is also available for the SRAM 1×11 and 1×12 drivetrains.

Vision Tech SC 55 Disc Carbon wheels are considered fully tubeless compatible even when supplied with rim tape for standard clamps. A tubeless kit with valves and special tape will be available separately.
