Description of item
If your goal is to pull the lead in a gravel race or a gravel-free ride in a secluded gravel, the new Diverge is the best choice. Frankly, it's the fastest, fastest-running, and most fun bike we've ever made. If you step on it, it will run quickly and sharply, and it will demonstrate high stability that you can run with confidence on rough roads. From new gravel geometry to abundant storage mounts and ample tire clearance, the new Diverge is infused with the technology Specialized has cultivated for 40 years on road, gravel and dirt rides. The new Diverge marks a new page in the history of gravel bikes, and you can expect unprecedented driving. Enjoy a bike that can be run around anywhere without being disturbed by anyone.
The Diverge Base E5 features a high quality E5 aluminum frame and FACT full carbon forks for fast, stable and comfortable driving on paved roads, dirt and gravel-covered gravel. The Shimano Claris 2x8 speed drivetrain has a wide gear ratio suitable for all terrain, and the combination of Axis Elite alloy wheels and Pathfinder Sport 38mm tires is efficient on paved roads and can even run on hardpack dirt. I can do it.
■ We do not use mundane gravel geometry. The new Diverge uses the most progressive geometry developed for drop bar bikes, with excellent running performance and stability on dirt roads and light and agile driving on paved roads. The head angle is laid down, a fork with a long offset is adopted, and the reach of the frame is extended. In this way, dirt provides high stability that sticks to the ground. In addition, a shorter stem has been added to keep the cockpit's overall position and agile maneuverability unchanged. The BB is low enough for stability, yet high enough to wear 650b wheels.
■ We adopt many rack mounts for forks and top tubes, and can carry what the rider needs regardless of the distance and the number of days you want to run.
■ Nothing limits the possibilities of a bike as much as tire clearance. So, with the new Diverge, we have made it possible to use 700c wheels up to 47mm and 650b wheels up to 2.1 inch tires. In addition, a special structure is adopted with a member machined from aluminum near the chain ring of the drive side chain stay, and it is possible to have sufficient clearance without adopting a fragile dropped design or extending the chain stay. I was able to do it.
